Update on Jack and Thanks to everyone I have read and heard all the messages and me and my entire family sends out eternal thanks to everyone! Jack is stable, right now. He has been upgraded to the step down ICU as of this morning. He was on his way home from work for lunch. He was on a two lane back road and turnning left when a speeding impatient car tried to pass him on the left, impacting Jacks car at the driver's door. The impact went in 3 feet into my saturn and knocked the car about 75 feet through a small tree. The children and I went to let them see the fire trucks which were half a block from the accident. (I did not want to be any closer, of course because of the kids.) But Jack would not answer his cell, when I called to tell him to avoid this road. AS he did not answer I got more and more nervous and eventualy realized it was my car in the dich and recognized jacks shoes on the gurney. he children were witness to everything that I saw and my reaction. The saw their daddy getting loaded on the helicopter. Just 24 hours before, we were at the houston zoo, with Daddy (And Tiffany!) And were watching all the Life Flight helicopters landing and taking off at the hospital that is just across the street. So the children were a bit more aware that this meant Daddy was really hurt. Jack has suffered only a cut on his head and he has broken his pelvis is several places. This means he is ALIVE. And that is what has me dancing for Jesus, right now! He will not be able to put weight on it for at least three months. He does still have some bleeding and internal injury to his hips and immediate tissues arround. But his is ALIVE and talking and that's all I care about! There is nothing more important that that I I had an hour of time to either sit and be nervous or upload some photos, so I did this. Will be praying for a speedy recovery!!! Am glad to know it's not near as bad as it could have been. My husband's cousin rear-ended a guy who had stopped to turn at 60 mph. It simply didn't register that the car had stopped! The car was totally destroyed, but Adam only suffered relatively minor injuries. His mom always said she wanted to see the pictures of the scene taken by the officers, because she KNEW she'd see angels in them! Thank you, Lord, for Your continued protection over Your people!!!

I am so happy to hear from you Jen! I am grateful that he will be ok! I will pray for a speedy and FULL recovery. I will also pray you get a fair settlement from the insurance agency to help out during the time he will be unable to work.
wow, I am praying for quick healing, let us know! I just found out about this, I was online a lot on Saturday but did not receive most of the posts untill this morning, not sure why but I am praying now! GOd knows how to mess with the time thing! Hehe! Be blessed, let us know hwo things are going!

I just spoke with Jen on the phone. She has friends watching her children today so she can be with her hubby at the hospital. I hadn't been on homeschool spot all weekend because we were gone and didn't even know about this until about 30 mins ago when she called me. The kids and I are going to see her and her kids tomorrow. She is trying to make life as normal as possible for the kids right now so we are going to meet at hs park day in the morning. I am praising God for the fact that he is still alive and also praying for her and her kids. I can't wait to see her tomorrow and give her a big hug!

Monkeymama give her a big hug from us too! Let her know we are praying for the kids to not have bad dreams even about it all as well as for her to relax and know what to do next. I am a practical person, and having been in 5 accidents ( 4/5 accidents happen with in 25 miles of your home is true!) all of being in the right place at the wrong time, she will need to be sure she has contacted her insurance company about this, let them do the footwork for her too! thats what we pay our insurance people for and do not settle for anything low because though this may sound big, 100,000 dollars is what most insurances will pay out for this bad of an accident if nessacary! My dad was side hit like that and had to wear a brace or be fused for the rest of his life, so you never know what will happen down the road, just to keep it real in our prayers folks make sure we pray for the Insurace to take care of the needs and then some! So they will not have to worry about that stuff! I settled when I had been hit back 20 years ago this summer, that is part of the work they did on my shoulder, fixing something the drs missed then! I dont mean to sound harsh but it is so important! make sure she keeps taking photos of him in hospital too! insurance will want these as well for proof of what is needed financially.
T'mom, I know it sounds harsh, but it's still very practical, needed advice! I know it's something we don't think of in advance, and even when you're in the middle of it, you don't think of it unless someone points it out. Thanks for doing so!
