When is Public School out for Summer?

Trying to make our disney trip so looking at the dates when the kids are still in school. Does anyone know what your state is letting go of the public school kids for the summer?

In Ohio, it varies by district. I would guess that our district gets out by June 12. We do have two make-up days due to the bad windstorm that had us without electricity for a whole week.

 

Around the same time as Jackie said. We also have a make-up date. Our district isn't always the same as all the others either. It varies, but it's normally the beginning/middle of June.

 

It varies by district here too but our elementary school's last day is June 23rd (that is when dd will be done with ps, yeah)

 

The last day of school here is May 28th.

 

In the school districts near me one area ends on June 12th and the other ends on June 13th.

As long as you go BEFORE Memorial Day week, you'll be OK.

 

I would schedule it the first or second week in May.

 

Last day here is June 4th.

 

June 10th I think.

 

Fun! Definately go before Memorial Day...Since you are in TX I don't know if you are going to CA or FL, but FL gets SO hot. As a FL native who's been to Disney dozens of times, I would say the BEST times to go to Disney World are November before Thanksgiving week, January after Jan 2 (when they take down the Christmas decorations) or February. Not sure if Disney Land would be the same or not.

 

I agree with the before Memorial Day. One district around us is done around Memorial day & the others the 2nd week in June.

I know South Florida is around the 2 week in June as well.

 

In North Carolina we got out mid May and went back the first week of August. The kids here in CT don't get out till late June.

 

School is out here on June 5th, not sure about the rest of the state. I think there are even (still) schools that are on a year round schedule.
I would try to go as early in May as possible, to avoid crowds and heat.

 

Now that you mention it, we also have a few schools here that go year-round. But I think they also let out for a month around the same time that the others let out for the summer.

 

The last day here is May 28.

My boys are NOT going to be happy working into June, but I want to work more during the summer because of the baby coming in the fall.

 

Last day here is June 5th. We're aiming for a beach vacation in early May to avoid the crowds.

 

here in kansas... our district is getting out May 21. I cant wait and neither can my kids.

 

Thanks y'all we planned it for May 16-22 hopefully most kids are still in school and that week wont be so full. I can only pray now that the swine virus wont spread so much
