Alright, this week with the littles we're working on T. I'm looking for a simple thing to do that looks like a tiger. We're also doing toast on the day we're studying trains - any cute ideas on how to turn the toast into a train thingy?

I'm not doing a whole cake, which are the only tiger and train recipes I found. I'm looking for basic ingredients put together in an interesting way to look like what we're studying.

    TIA!

Instead of doing a whole tiger, you can do something with tiger stripes. I.e. Take an orange iced cookie and, while the icing is soft, lay those shoelace licorice strips on it.

When you eat tangerines, be sure to put them onto toothpicks, and serve tea!

They make Thomas the Tank Engine fruit snacks. I think Jack could eat his weight in fruit snacks if you let him.

Or even for a tiger, their different colors... orange and black - find food with those 2 colors.... then discuss the white tigers (one of my fav's!!) and eat something white and black.

    New idea ;)

Do you like fruit roll ups? If so - cookie cutters are amazing and cheap! I use these for sandwiches also.

I will make PB&J and to make life interesting make it into star pieces.... so with a tiger or train - just cut them into those shapes! I pick up cookie cutters at the dollar store or even Walmart sometimes when I get in a mood. My daughter eats a lot of "cheese sandwiches" and to make them more interesting I cut them into the shapes.

You need to give them Texas Toast since you are in Texas! Or surely they have Texas cookie cutters!

OH, OH!!! What about Turkey Roll-Ups? You could roll them up, slice them small, and still use a toothpick!
