This article seems to be somewhat fair but the ps administrator just can't help say that "parents" can't give a quality education because parents are not trained or educated to be teachers. But the Lebanon Daily does give good information. SERIES, PART 4 - The cost of homeschooling: What school administrators say http://www.ldnews.com/news/ci_21301...hat-school-administrators?source=most_emailed There is also a link to PART 3 on the cost of homeshooling: What Homeschoolers Have to Say Kim
The administrator is one of those that give hs'ed parents a REALLY bad taste for educrats!!! She's full of herself!
I went to a BBQ recently and several parents asked me how I remember stuff from high school to teach my lessons. DOH! I didn't even try to explain! (I've grown a lot in the last year.) It seems it is a common thought.
This is hilarious. Because the implication is that only an educator is capable of adequately teaching your children; yet you were taught by an educator whose lessons didn't last into adulthood? HA!
The caption under the superintendent's picture says that she believes "no amount of sacrifice or money can make the homeschool experience equal to public school." That's exactly why I homeschool. I don't want "equal to public school", I want better, MUCH BETTER, than public school.
