My dgd got a Leapster for her bday and I'm curious to find out if I can download ebooks from the library on to them. I recently bought a Nook and I'm loving that feature. Our library just started offering the 3M Cloud library so our selection has greatly increased.
Hmm... I don't think so. Not as far as I know, anyway. None of our Leapsters have ever worked very long! Very aggravating, especially since LeapFrog will not service them. Too bad, so sad for you! (UGH. Customer service stinks!) I'm going to take ours - we have at least 3 of them - to a local game reseller to see if they can fix any of them. I will never buy Leapster game systems new again! EVER! Sorry for the tangent. I dont think they do eBooks, unless one of the newest ones accidentally does. It would say on the box, I would think, because it would be a feature to make sure people knew about for sure.
She got it back in March and I'm surprised she hasn't killed it lol. She LOVES the video recorder and camera on it but I would love for her to be able to have books on there. Hopefully we will have better luck with hers than you did!
Makes me glad that I didn't put forth the money to buy my sons one. I know they have been asking for years because their cousins have one. I am just not interested in bringing a gaming system into my home.
We bought our Four year old a leappad and it's great. It's sort of a baby ipad. lol There are a ton of educational games and there are ebooks that go on it. She really enjoys it and we have had no issues thus far.
Our fist leapster (lmax) lasted for like 4 years. I just replaced it this year witht eh Leapster 2. I haven't done any of the online things with it though, my son just uses the game cartridges we bought for the lmax....
