I feel silly even asking this as I know that God's plan is always the best plan. I am an "in charge" kinda person and right now the events surrounding our baby's birth are up in the air. My mom was suppose to come, then she couldn't, then she was, and now as of last night is not coming to help. I feel like i am on a roller coaster ride and I am frightened right now that I will end up giving birth alone because Dh will be the only one to watch the children. I dont' know who to ask. My babies have always come at night and I do not want to inconvience anyone. So please pray that I have a safe birth, perferably during the day so I can have our regular babysitter come and no one is inconvienced. I am having my baby at a birth center with a midwife so there is no hospital stay. I get to go home as soon as I feel up to it (between 4-24 hours). Thanks guys!
wow, I hope things work out for you all. Have you thought about asking the sitter you have right now if it's ok to bring the other kids by when ever the new one decide to come sometime, they will. I wish you all the luck and hope you find something that will work for you all.
I agree with Kris. Consider making arrangements with your regular sitter. Are you involved in church? Is there someone there who could help? What about someone in your hs group? It took 3 different people to cover all of my kids at all times when my last was born, and she was induced.
Even though we have been going to this church for awhile we are still just a face in the crowd. I tend to be a very shy person and don't get out there to make alot of friends fast or easily. That is my own fault and I know it. My regular babysitters are teenage sisters from a family my DH works with. He is suppose to talk to their father about sitting for the birth but as of yesterday still hasn't done so :x
Sarah, I wish I could say Yes I can watch them, but at night would be tough for us. In the day I wouldn't mind. But that isn't very helpful is it. I do hope that some one on the base will be helpful for you-- and can run there in a pinch. I am truely sorry that your mom or other family can't come out to help you. I know how much you probably would prefer to have your mom there. I know I wished it too.
It'd be good if you knew someone on base or in your church that is single or a teenager, or even a married woman who could come help cuz her husband can stay with their kids! Can you wrack your brain and think of ANYONE you feel you could trust that could just come spend the night at your house if the baby comes at night? If I lived around you, I certainly would do that! I'm guessing someone would be glad to help out with that, if you could only find them! I will pray that things work our for your mom to come after all, or that you think of someone, or even that someone would offer! You never know how God will work! Pray, pray pray---that's what I'm doin'!
Sarah, praying here that God will send you someone to be with the children when the new baby decides to make his appearance. God's timing is always perfect If I could, I would be there in a heartbeat, but I don't think I could catch a flight that fast and be there.
