My 5 yr got into trouble today so his dad told him to go sit on a chair and count to 100. (That was his "time out" lol.) Caiden then replied "FINE! I'M GOING TO SKIP COUNT!" LOL Well it's not the warm and fuzzy homeschooling moment I've heard about but it's a start.
Very creative!!! You got to love 'em!!! There's always.... One, two, Skip a few, Ninety-nine One hundred! I learned that way from a kid not much older than Caiden!
"Fine. First skip count by 10s. Then by 5s. Then by 2s. And then you can get up." That, of course, in hindsight and Lord knows I won't remember it in the fall....
 He's learning the terminology, and can follow through and do it, so you're right, it's a start!
Jackie, That is sooo cute, I cannot stand it! Did you get a picture if him grimacing in the chair? When my now 11 YO was in, I think Kindergarten, he said to us "I can count to a 'gozillion'!" I said, "Oh, really? Can you?" "Yeah, Mommy, really, I CAN!" "OK, let's hear it." "OK...one, two, three, four....(...all correct...) ninety-nine, one hundred, one thousand, one million, one GOZILLION!" We still laugh about that to this day. In fact, same child had a "homeschool moment" just last week. In the interest of NOT hijacking this thread, I'll share that on another, but THANK YOU, for making us smile by starting this one! :roll:Miller:roll:
