How are you Jen? It's almost noon here, so I'm guessing your dh has already left. We're here for ya! Hang in there! I'm praying for you and hope you are doing okay!
Thanks, ladies! I have certainly felt the prayers over the last day. Yesterday was BEAUTIFUL weather and we were able to have some fun time as a family. This morning dh's parents came over so we could see him off. He called and told us we needed to get there ASAP and I was nervous because I am not familiar with that area of the base so I was afraid we would miss him. Even as I was writing down the directions I was praying that I would know where to drive, and my mil said later she was impressed I got us there so quickly! : ) It was hard to let him go, but at least now we are on the countdown to him coming home, even if it is a long one. He called around lunch time from Missouri and then he is going on to VA probably until tomorrow night when he will leave for Kuwait. I am beat already, but I am trying to get some stuff done and just wear myself out so I will be able to get some sleep tonight!!
Jen, honey, I feel so sad for you. You tell your dh we are so proud of him for helping our country. I want you and Jack to know how much we appricate all you two given up for us too. I know it has to be hard. But, you remember we are here for you and you can come and see me anytime. I will get the jet warmed up for you girl. Love ya, hang in there.
Thank you and your dh for your sacrifice. We are so grateful for people like you all. We will keep you in prayers Jill
Thanks guys! I am hoping the next 4-5 months go so fast! So far, so good, though since he is still in the States he can call a lot and it just kind of seems like a regular trip. I don't really have a concept of what 4-5 months apart is going to be like. So we'll just take it as it comes and pray a lot!
Awwww hon, my deepest thoughts and prayers are with you!!! We are on a special duty assn. so my dh has avoided the deployment issue here. We just found out a few weeks ago that it has changed. Now EVERYONE is deployable. He is putting in his paperwork for retirement in a couple of months, but yes, it still will hang over our head..... Do you live on the base? Get all of the support you can, that is what it is there for!!! Stay busy hon, the best way to get through it is to stay busy!!!!! Did you do a "countdown jar" for your kiddos, they are usually a real big hit. Let me know if he needs care pkgs., people here in my dh's unit love to do those. Big hugs from here, and my prayers are with you for those dark moments when the house is quiet, the kids are to bed and the thoughts start creeping on in. You hang in there hon!!!! Beth
