    Look for anything abotu Convoy of Hope, they are probably already on the way to helping if not on the way to Galvaston or whereever they can get in. They are huge, my friend works with them they are a non profit organization who gets food, clothing etc, you dont hear much about them in the media but the work they do is amazing!
    They house people, they bring the food to the people, where they are at, too!

    They are using cranes to lift all the boats, and yachts off Interstate 45, the southbound lanes.. which have been blocked by said debris since the storm, of course. Just an interesting visual... looking for photo...


    Mayor of Galveston says that residence can return am wednesday the 24th.. Man, to have the island "Closed" is sooo surreal.


    One photo that made my kids wanna cry...
    Taken from a store in Winnie ........... this is WAAY north of houston, just to show how far and wide the power outages and damage reaches....

    Cnn is reporting now that people in Tenn. and Atlanta are having gas shortages, apparently due to Hurricane Ike. (As per headline news).
