I wash, grease with butter, and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Then I wrap in foil and bake in the oven. When I'm in a time crunch, I will bake mine in the microwave. If you prick with a fork, wrap in a clean dish towel and place them in a glass bowl, they come out closer to a "baked in the oven" taste. The towel keeps some of the moisture in.
Oh I love these kind of potatoes on the grill, dice up and and put butter and garlic and seasoning on bottom of foil, then put potatoes on top and top them mushroom, peppers ( all colors) and onions then top with seasoning and butter again. then wrap foil put on hot grill cook about 30 minutes oh these are so good.
