Homeschooling by state - easy or hard?

    I think, but am not sure if I am up to date on the laws...but in Iowa (where I grew up) if you don't have a college degree, you have to have a monitor of sorts to look over everything. I don't know if it is that way anymore. But I heard PA required you to get approved by the local principal or something. Just having to give 30 days notice would bother me. I would not have to do that if I were switching to private school or moving, why should I have to do it with regards to homeschooling?
