People, we are officially on holidays! DD finished up the last of her English yesterday so today is our first day of our spring 2 week break ~ & boy! do we both need it. It has been a really busy term with her music concert & all & I was worried, thinking we've been scrappy all term & not really done all that much, but when I began rounding up her work & looked at what we've really done we've actually done pretty well! Now if we can just get our verandah finished we will have somewhere cool to school when the really hot weather arrives.
Congratulations! That's great! Hope you have a good Spring Holiday! We're just getting to Fall, and cooler weather. Maybe I should send you some when your hot weather arrives!
Please! I hate really hot weather. I can't think in it & we all lie round like lethargic lizards. I try & finish up our school stuff before the worst of it as my Ditzy doesn't like working in the heat either.
Oh man, I can't work in hot weather either! I got heat exhaustion/heat stroke once when I was 16, and someone told me I may be more sensitive to heat because of it. I don't know...........but I DO know that I just wilt and have headaches and no energy if it gets too hot! I wish there really was a way to send you some....I'd do it if I could!
I know how you feel I hate hot, just can't get moving it's so hard and that's all it's been the month of Sept in south Texas in the 90's with heat index over 100.. Oh I miss the cool weather. Trying to be patient.. Oh Deena I live in the states, do you think you can please send me some cool weather.
Celtic you need to move south - it's not so hot here, and not for as long! We finish up this week too, friday is our last day for 2 weeks. But I sometimes think the holidays are busier.....kids have rangers camp first 3 days, the ds tennis camp (non residential) all week, dd has 1 day swim club. Both have gym training, becuase the last weekend will be spent in Tamworth at the country gym comp..... whew! I'm tired already, lol
Lol. AussieMum, I come from Sydney, which last time I looked was still south of you. We're this far north for DH's health but I know what you mean about the holidays. Music is ongoing; it stops for nothing! Plus we are taking a week to spend some time with my mum which means loads of organizing because of my workers.:roll: To say nothing of the cat which is having a serious meltdown ~ literally. He is a double coated part Himalayan & he just doesn't belong in these summers. He's moulting emough to feather a quilt & totally miserable, poor thing. Plus I'm dejunking while I have some free time... Oops, I mean, not schooling.
