Hi all! It has been a long time since I posted here. There are many reasons for that. My world seemed to crumble underneath my feet. I am embaressed to admit that I completely freaked out. My Dh was very concerned one day when he saw me sitting on the couch crying and did what he thought was best for me by putting the kids in school.
I hate the public school system here. I just recieved a letter saying they have failed CITY WIDE on their state and federal requirements. I can see my kids not learning like they did before and can tell they have already lost the love for learning and instead gained a major attitude change. The only thing that they seem to like about school are the kids and recess. Go Figure!! LOL
To top off my stress level my DH has gotten notice to go on a one year deployment later this year. I will be left alone with 5 kids all this time. I am scared. Here I want to go back to homeschooling but wonder if I am putting too much on my plate with having a new baby and being alone. I could move closer to my family during this time but in the end they are more stress than help.
I have really missed you guys. I ask for your prayers as I try to figure out what to do.

    I remember you!!!! :)

You are always welcome to be here even if you aren't homeschooling and I know what you mean abou the schools here, I had wondered if it were different on base. Next fall you should come with me to the homeschool group here and check it out again. (even if you just have the little ones). There have been days when my kids make me break down and cry too, but I think you just reminded me why I can't send them to school here, I can't handle MORE additude.

Welcome back!! It's good to "see" you! :)

I am sorry to hear you were having such a hard time. But will be praying that things will work out for you and the kids to hs again. Also to help you as your dh is gone. OH...and for his safety while he is gone.

I hope you will check in here often....this forum is better than ever and I think you will find all kinds of support in the things you are going through!!

Welcome back. I wondered about where you went to.

Do what is best for you at this point. The kids may need to be in public school while your hubby is away and that is just fine too. You can always homeschool later on. Homeschooling with other things going on can be very hard on anyone. Some days it is on me as everyone here will tell you too.
    Share with us anytime.
    Hugs to you,
    Lorna
