Can you take a picture with something regular sized, so we can see the sizes compared to, say, a ruler or something? Looks very cute!
UM, this is really embarrassing ladies 'cause it shows up just how bad my math skills are, but...Ok, Deena, I will try to photograph next to something regular. Is a metal ruler OK? AussieMum, I have no idea how big this thing is. It's about the size of a square shoebox. Do you work in feet & inches or centimetres? If feet I can go measure, if cm's Ditz will have to do it. lol.
online calculator ..that will do the conversion for ya if you measure it in inches... just type the inches in the box and hit "convert"
That's the same with me! My kids know cm's and other measurements better than I do! I use feet and inches! It doesn't matter what you use, just something we kind of know the size of so we can compare that with how big/small her miniatures are.
WOW that is tiny! THATS SO COOL! How long did it takeher to do, and what class was it for, did you say she took a class in 'minitures'? I did not know there was a class for such things how cool!
One of the older ladies on the island makes minatures & agreed to do a class for about 3 ladies. My Ditz is the only kiddie involved. Her art teacher wangled her a spot. Her hands being smaller & more nimble & her eyesight better she is in big demand for helping the ladies out. Her toysop took most of 2 terms to complete. She is doing a cake shop now with this minature picnic basket & tiny mice scampering about the place nibbling on her cakes. There is always a story with Ditz's pieces. We write this activity down as her Art component.
Okay, I noticed that little snaps are used for the wheels on the train. Those I know, so now I have a scale.
Oh!!! Do we have a 'duh!' emoticon? Sorry everyone. That was really dumb of me but I just don't think numbers. The scale is 1/12th Some of the other artists work in 1/16th, which I believe is easier.
