The whole gang from GMA was right down the road from me today, broadcasting live about 3 blocks away! Last night they hosted a BBQ for the community in the park by our house. Sandra Lee was there too because this morning she was cooking cheese brats for the show!!! A friend of mine got to sit by Diane Sawyer for dinner. Of course, I had to work. Poo! How Cool! I didn't know that GMA was in our state. I only looked at the news version (from your link) and didn't see the show this a.m. I'll have to watch it later. Thanks for sharing! You are probably not too far away from one of my sisters and one of my friends in the MKE area. I used to have a friend that lived in Waukesha. All I remember seeing when going to visit (back in the mid to late '90's) was a place called Jamaican Me Tan and a Sentry store.
Too bad...it always made me laugh when I went by! My friend lived on Burr Oak Blvd. I think it was about 1999 that I stopped going to Waukesha because my friend, her hubby and kids decided to move just across town from me.
Jen, the girls and I were watching it this morning, that is where we grew up and friends up there, it was great see the old places again. Do you know how and why they picked that town? Or are they just going here and there? Just wondering.
It's for a segmant called GMA In Your Neighborhood, or something like that. People write in with their stories and they pick people's homes to broadcast in. I think there were 5 houses they chose, and this was one of them. I don't know what the story was...I think it pertained to the economic state, or something. I'm not sure on details, but I'm sure the GMA site would have some info on it.
