I was having a "conversation" on another board about a new homeschool movie coming out and someone said they hated "Cheaper by the Dozen." So I simply HAD to post this true tale:

I thought the movie "Cheaper by the Dozen" was hysterically funny. "Sarah Baker, you have a dark gift." I can so relate.

My son blocked our cul-de-sac yesterday by constructing a giant spider web out of light green yarn. It ran from our mailbox to the neighbor's. Across the street. argh!!!!

    ha

I heard a horn honk and realized he'd gotten revenge for my not letting him decorate for halloween until it was at least October! ;0)

LOL that is funny. Some kids the other day were destroying a video (I hope it was a bad one!) and were streaching the tape across the road when I was driving by.. cheering when it broke.

My dd10 can't let a holiday go by without decorating. We go all out for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. My husbands b-day was 2 weeks ago and he just wanted something very low key. He and I had gone camping for the weekend and he just wanted a nice quiet home cooked meal with the family that evening. Dd10 was so upset that we didn't have decorations that she spent about and hour in her room making paper chains to decorate the living room with. We had about ten 6 foot long rainbow bolored paper chains all over the living room! But the real kicker was when she presented him with his party hat - a Hello Kitty party hat nonetheless that had been left over from another party. Oh he looked so cute surrounded by rainbow colors, wearing his party hat and eating his cake!! Too Funny.

It is a wonderful thing that she did that for her daddy--pretty thoughtful for a 10yo!! As for wearing the hat--I hope the dad knows that is a sweet, wonderful memory she will have for a lifetime!!! I also have precious memories (and pics!) of my dd and the hubby playing tea party with crowns and all the trimmings! lol! It was just too sweet!

Both the girls thought it was great that daddy would wear the hat.

And you reminded me of something.

I have a photo of my dad playing Pretty Pretty Princess with the girls at my house about a year ago. He won and was crowned the princess!!!! It was too funny. I am so glad I have that picture because shortly after that he got very sick and went into the hospital. He has been in and out since then and is on oxygen and walks with a walker. My girls will always have that picture to remind them of how great a grandpa he is even if he can't be with them as much anymore.
