I haven't used this curriculum but my HS supplier has a sale on & I am able to get the History of Music study guide for 1/2 price. I looked at but couldn't afford the whole curriculum 12 months ago for my musical Ditz. Am I going to need other bits of the curriculum to go with this or will it stand alone? Has anyone used this particular guide & can you offer an opinion? Thanks in advance. :)

Haven't used any of BF yet but a friend just gave me a catalog today because she just got their order for next year. From looking at her Early Am History guide, you'd definitely have to have the accompanying books to do hers.....not sure about the music one though.

I would love to do BF myself, lol. Dd wanted to too but we found it too late in her age and level of learning. Dh vetoed it last year and this year I forgot about it!
I have her doing SOS history of US etc so maybe I can do that early history one with it... as it has the extra books listed and all to read right?
I think reading the side books is so much more exciting when you are learning about different eras!

lol, don't you hate finding good curriculum after you've already ordered?

The whole music package looked brilliant & I really wanted it but didn't like the price for something I wasn't sure about & wasn't strictly academics. I have a really tight budget. I may get the guide, order stray bits if it needs it from sales or when I can afford it, then do it as a huge one off wonder.

At least B F is not expensive, so as a secondary lesson line it would be easy enough to get and not stress over ...
