I am not kidding!!! I got my son 6A thinking we would take AT LEAST 1 week to explain and truly grasp the concept of the 1st chapter which is Algebra. Ok - I was good in Algebra but DANG the boy just took it and ran with it! I actually had to stop him from doing any more work. He did exercises 1-5 today in the workbook and would have kept going. Believe it or not it took him MAYBE 45 minutes. SOOOOO I'm spending another $10 on "The Complete Book of Algebra and Geometry" for him to use for awhile along with the Singapore math. Good thing I sold my Story of the World audio cd's today so I could get him something else to use along with the Singapore!! Yes ladies - I am in shock that he "saw" the concept so quickly. I mean it was a complete light going off and even excitement which I don't always see in him as much as I see in my dd.
WOW! Awesome! My kids decided to be backwards, today... LAst month they were flying through multiplication and division in 2A and when we cracked open 2B today, with addition and subtraction, you would have thought they were learning Russian... Sigh,,,,,,, But I do love singapore.
My daughter is doing it just fine at a pace I can breathe But my son.... whew... ok.... STOP!!!!! LOL but yes I do like this program. I just need something else in there as well to make sure he "gets" it.
That's so cool! I'm so happy for you! You just gotta love those light bulb moments when everything clicks for them and they've truly got it!
