I need more seats in my yukon denali. I can only seat 7. I need to seat 8. I have 4 kids of my own already. And Im getting 2 more. I have 2 bucket seats in the middle row. I had seen on the web where you could get console seats to fit in between those 2 seats. It has to be no wider than 10" Now all I can find is 12" and 16". I also had seen a bench seat that you could buy for the very back that was rear facing. It was just for little ones. And it was very inexpensive. But now all I can find is basically the same thing, but they what a ton of money for it. I cant afford that much! If I dont find something, when my whole crew goes somewhere together, we will have to take 2 vehicles. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.
We bought a seat for the very back of our Jeep, it's rear facing. It was about $1,000 but it's sooo nice. Matches our car perfectly. Those rear facing seats only fit small kiddos though. My 8 yr old will be too big for that seat in another year or two. It did take over 2 months to get it though. They are specially made at the time you order them. So it takes awhile to get them out to you.
First place I would try is some junk yards, call and ask them, if not then the dealer, ebay too. But, we always check junk yards first.
I'm with Kris, kind of anyway... if a bench was an option for the Yukon, I would start hunting junkyards for a bench and ditch the buckets. My family car is a Dodge Ram quad cab.. it seats 6, I don't know what we would do if we should get preggers with twins.. I REFUSE to drive a minivan.. guess I would be in the market for a Durango then
Hey don't knock the minivan. I said I'd never do it and here we have one. I have enough room for two more kiddos which I hope to have in the next 3 years. We have a chevy quad that seats 6 but if we add to our family we will need to get the 12 or 15 passenger van.
When we wrecked the truck 2 years ago they gave us a minivan as our rental, said it was all they had that would fit our family.. I stayed home for 2 weeks while my truck was in the shop. One trip down the road in that thing was more than enough for me..lol. I refuse to be grouped into the "mad mom in a minivan" catagory. I love my truck, and could never "downsize" anyway. I hate driving anything lower/smaller. ETA.. I have no problem with anyone else owning a minivan.
I just got my latest edition of Home School Enrichment Magazine and there is an ad for 3rd and 4th row seats (rear-facing, forward facing and side-facing) for SUVs. I have no clue the costs, etc....but I remembered this thread when I saw it. www.littleseats.com or 800-252-9989 Rhonda
