I want to get dd a digital camera for her 3rd birthday. It has to have the preview screen. Does anyone have one? If so will you share what you and your kids like/don't like about it? I know they won't take the best pictures, but if she takes a picture of a cat I want her to be able to tell it's a cat when she looks at the photo. And we want something durable. You know, something that will withstand being dropped, stepped on and thrown at her brother. I've been looking into the Fisher Price Kid Tough and VTech kidizoom plus but am open to other brands as well.
DS uses our Digital Camera sometimes. We don't let him use it too often because it was EXPENSIVE, but it's a Minolta 38-380mm. Has a ton of features, but it's easy for him to use, point and shoot, and has a nice display screen for viewing.
We got our son a Fisher Price digital camera 3 or 4 years ago. Pros - It is super tough, can be hooked to the tv and play games with the pictures he took, and he can edit pictures to make them look funny. It also allows him to take videos. Cons - The downside is the photos are low quality and if you move the camera too fast they are blurry. But with it being digital, he can easily erase the photos that don't turn out well. Otherwise, they are good enough to see clearly what the picture is of.
Hi our son got one last year at Christmas it is also a video camera. He loves it! By Discovery Kids. It actually takes some nice pics and I suggest a memory card for it so they can load lots of pics on it. He goes through batteries quick but that's mostly because he walk around the whole day taking pics.
