Well this year I decided I would head up the used book sale in our area for our homeschool group. We have 35 sellers and TONS of books at great prices.. It was crazy setting up and I think we have it all ready for the actual sale part of it tomorrow. I hope it goes well and I hope I can look. I was so busy today I could not shop early like the other helpers...
Does anyone else have these by them???

I don't know of a sale like that around here, but it sounds like a great idea. I would love to be able to look through all those books.

We have that here in Colorado at a local used book store that I go to all the time. Their great last year I picked up a whole set (15) videos from National Gepgraphic for 5 dollars, not to mention all the books I was able to get. They actually do two one is today and then their next homeschool book fair is at the end of the summer.

We have a couple of used curricu/used books sales around here. There are about 1800+ homeschooled kids between Williamburg and Va Beach so it's a good area for things like that.

    Hope your sale goes well.

this year was the first ever homeschool book sell in my town. I went in support of it. WOW! I found some great deals and even found science stuff for my oldest. We only had about 20 sellers and about 5 tables that were display only of different curriculum. It was so cool!

we do that at our local homeschool group, sell things we are done with or didn't use, We just set up our own table our blanket. I missed out on ours this year.

We do clothing exchange for free bring all the outgrown clothes and set it on tables and people go through it and take what they can use. we donate what is left over to a women and children's shelter.

We don't have anything like that here. It would be so cool if we did. I have too much to get rid of. LOL (darn that curricula junkie that I am)

We have tons of those in Ohio. Just in my area I can choose from 8 to 10 different locations. Different hs groups get together to rent space in churches and schools for a couple of hours. We pay a buck to get in if our group isn't in the co-op. I can usually find quite a lot for $10 and under.

Well it turned out GREAT!! Our group is one of about 8 with in 50 miles of eac other. But we ad 0ver 30 sellers and the total sales were about 5,000. (not to bad) We had a great turn out on the buying end and great prices. I think Apologia Biology, Chemistry and so were only 30.00 (complete) MUS, Saxon and so much more.
    BUT I AM SO TIRED......
If you don't have one by you try doing one? I do like the idea of bringing clothes.. We tried a Bake Sale this year and raised 65.00 for our sports team......
