Hey there. I'm looking for a *free* printable curriculum/set of unit studies on teaching art. I definitely want to start with things like the colour wheel & such, and progress teaching them as many things as possible. Any links? THNX bunches!

I have a number of art links on my website. (PM me and I can give you the link) There is also a directory of unit studies at "thefourwheelers" site.

We used that site for quite awhile until we found an art teacher. She has to quit teaching, so I'm back to those lessons, too.

    Try this:

    http://www.sanford-artedventures.com/play/play.html

I haven't used it yet, but it looks great! it is an index to a whole lot of art Edventures! There are also do-able art projects associated with each one.
    This is what they say:
“Our ArtEdventures are interactive online games for teachers and students. In these fun and educational activities, you'll discover how great artists made their famous works—while learning tips and techniques for creating your own art!”

I saved both of those in my folder for art. Now I need to go explore them more. Thanks for sharing them!

These sites are great, ladies. DH is an artist and is going to give lessons to DS, but he's not a teacher, you know? So this is great. He is going to use these as a guide for what to teach is what order (and what to reasonably expect from a 5yo).
