I sometimes like to go back to older posts to see what I had shared on certain topics. Today I couldn't access any of my posts older than October 2006. Has some procedure changed that I missed out on? Or have some files been archived that I need permission to read? Thanks.

You can only see, I think 500 of your last posts, under your User CP. But you can find all posts if you look under search. You might have to type in a certain word or topic. This is how I find any posts that are no longer posted under my User CP.

Thank you, Patty! That got me back to my very first post! I have another question. How do we choose a mode to view a thread? I'm copying the following from the FAQ section:

When viewing a thread, you will be able to view the thread from a choice of four modes.

Linear Mode (Oldest First) - In this mode, posts are displayed chronologically from oldest to newest. Posts are shown in a flat mode so that many posts can be viewed simultaneously.

Linear Mode (Newest First) - This is the same as the above mode, except that posts are ordered in an opposite way (newest first).

Threaded Mode - In this mode, a tree is shown along with every post. This tree allows you to see the relationship each post has to others, in terms of who responded to whom. Only one post is shown at a time.

Hybrid Mode - This mode is a mixture of the linear and threaded modes. The post tree is displayed like in the threaded mode, but multiple posts are displayed simultaneously like in the linear modes.

In the 'Thread Display Mode' You click on the arrow beside the options to change the Linear Modes.

Below that you choose how many threads you want to display 'Default Thread Age Cut Off '. I have mine set to 'Show all threads'.

For some reason, I can't get to the "Thread Display Mode," nor are there any arrows on my FAQ page. Can you take me there, step-by-step? (It seems like I have more options when I access this Spot through the indented address rather than on the regular address on my search engine. Then I have some "Display Options." One is "From the beginning.") Thank you, Nellie!

    Go to User CP

In your Control Panel list you will see:
    Settings & Options

    Edit Signature
    Edit Email & Password
    Edit Profile
    *Edit Options
    Edit Avatar
    Edit Profile Picture

    Click on Edit Options

This pages is set up into 5 different sections:

    Login & Privacy
    Messaging & Notification
    *Thread Display Options
    Date & Time Options
    Miscellaneous Options

The one you want is Thread Display Options

(If you do not see these options under Thread Display Options, you may not have the box opened up. There will be a little dark blue double arrow over to the right hand side. Click on that and it will open the box)

In the Thread Display Options there are 4 options

    Visible Post Elements
    Thread Display Mode
Number of Posts to Show Per Page
    *Default Thread Age Cut Off

In the Default Thread Age Cut Off you will see a box. This will say: You may specify a time period from which to display threads. Threads older than the age you specify will not be shown. If you click on the arrow you will see all your different options on how many threads you want to display. If you want them all click on Show All Threads.

Then you must scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save Changes

Let me know if you need any further assistance. ;)

Wow, Nellie! I appreciate you taking time to explain this! I'm just on a quick stop-through at home though and may not have the chance to follow through until next week. I'm going to quickly read the prayer requests and then head for bed, but I wanted you to know that I saw all the work you went to!
