Heidi, My 11 yo dd read "Because of Winn Dixie" a few years ago. I didn't know that now it was made into a movie. My dd just finished reading "The Hiding Place" by Corrie ten Boom. She likes it a lot. She also loves the following books:- American Girl Series American Girl History Mysteries Series Sisters in Time Series Anne of Green Gables Little House on the Prairie Series, The Caroline Years (Laura's mom), The Rose Years (Laura's daughter), The Charlotte Years (Laura's grandmother), and the Martha Years (Laura's great-grandmother) Christian Heritage Series by Nancy Rue (my dd's favorites....she has read them over and over again!).
