Another facebook ?

I got a friend request from an old friend on facebook. The problem is...I have some family on there and if I accept this person I will be hearing about it. A lot. Is there a way to have a friend but somehow "hide" them from others on your list? I want to accept the request, but don't want to be hassled by it. Life is going too peaceful for me to invite that in lol.

Does that person know the rest of your family does not care for them?

I don't know, kinda hard to refuse to accept someone that you know, just one of those being polite things. Your family would give you that much grief?

Isn't there a way to contact the person w/o accepting... maybe you could keep track via email? Sorry... I'm not that familiar with FB.

If you don't accept, the person doesn't get a notification. So unless they only have like two friends they won't notice it.

If you accept, you can go to your wall and 'delete' the notification on the wall so no one else can see.

You can also make your settings so that your friend can't post on your wall or pictures. Then there's nothing to miss. If you want to go that route, PM me and let me know, and I'll dig up how to do that. It would involve putting said friend on a 'special' list. xD

Thank you for the offer, but after some thought I've decided to just go the email route for now. Seems like the best choice for my sanity.
