Ladies in VA?

I saw on the news where there had been tornados in the state and was wondering if it affected any of you?! They were showing where it had hit a shopping mall but I'm not sure what time of day it was.

Kim (missinseattle) and I are fine. We are about 20-35 mins from Suffolk that was hit HARD by a tornado so the kids and I were ready to duck and cover in the downstairs bathroom but it weakened as it crossed the river from Suffolk into Newport News (where I live).

Thanks for checkin on us!

Yep, we're fine. I did get a call from a friend about 10 minutes north in our county and she said a small tornado hit right by the church she supervisors and afterschool program at.

A tree went down not far from our house- and I don't remember any wind, but it downed a power line so we were without power for most of the evening and ended up going out to dinner since we couldn't cook anything and power was out in most of the county for all that time.

Crazy weather we've been having. All those warm days, then days of pouring rain. Storms yesterday, storms this morning. Guess it's that time of year!
