Do you have pets?

My best friend through Middle School and HS had a rat. It really grossed me out, but she loved it. He was white, I think his name was Mr. Rat.

But once a nice thick slab of ham was on the table, the smell made me forget how much I liked him. LOL

I was like that the first time I ate one of the eggs from my chickens the thought of where it actually came from freaked me out, but now I see those water looking yellow eggs at the store or restaurant with no taste blaaa..

Yah pets and farm animals should not mix

We have rats sometimes around here but they don't last long with our cats and they are not the clean pretty ones you see at the pet store.

I have two dogs both are German shepherds GS are beautiful dogs very intelligent , fast learner and are very loyal.

My favorite dog was part yellow lab. She was an excellent dog! When she died, my husband brought home a pure-bred German Shepherd. A woman he worked with bred them, and this one was the runt, so we got her for the price of shots. She was a very good dog, but developed spinal degeneration. I can't imagine NOT having a dog!

We have 2 parrots, 6 goldfish, 2 turtles, and a frog.

We have a lionhead rabbit, and a dog. Thinking of adding a bird or two, probably lovebirds.

NYCitymomx3...my hubby and I lived in queens from 1986-1995, are you still in NYC? Do you still homeschool? BTW, we are in PA now.

Hey! Yes, we're still in Queens and we still homeschool. It's just ds(11) at home now. Dd(15) goes to a performing arts high school (yes, THAT one, lol) and oldest dd(18) is in college. How are the PA regulations? I heard they're as bad as NY's. Where in Queens did you live?

I've had pet rats in the past and they were great pets. At the moment we have a female grey and white tabby cat. By the end of the year we'll have added 12 Neon tetra, 12 Kuhli loaches, 12 Dwarf chain loaches and an unspecified number of snails
