    Hey there all !
i just signed up on these forums today.
I am a homeschool dad of four (16 girl, 14 boy, 11 boy, 10 boy). We have just started the Robinson (highly modified) version of homeschool. This is quite a change from the way we were doing things before. We have home educated for 5 years and dig it a lot. My wife, Dawn, and I are very evangelical about home education. I am a software guy by trade, and just created a project for homeschoolers to share and create online virtual classes. Its called the Open School, and you can see it at theopenschool.com . I am very proud of it.:D
We are a christian family, and endeavor to live on purpose.
glad to meet all of you !

Welcome DAD!!!!! So nice to have you with us here. Join right in and tell us what you all do for fun. Does mom work full time? Does she help with school too or are you the big dog with school? LOL Can't wait to hear from you. I will take a look at your site later.

what do i do for fun ? Well, work is fun for me. I have had the blessing of being able to do over half my work from home. Church is fun, and the kids are fun. They are all in karate classes, enjoy reptile hunting, and there is a Risk-like game the boys and I like to play. We live close enough to the country to get out and drive. The kids get to drive on isolated farm roads, where my 16 year old girl is practicing for her drivers permit. My wife is actually the main homeschool worker. She does more than i do. She digs all of the above, but she does not go chasing after snakes. he he.
    thanks for your welcome.

    Hi Geek, lol

It's really nice to have a guy show up at these forums. We went witn A Squared curriculum for a couple of years, and really enjoyed it. It's pretty much like what you are doing. I'd still be using it but the disc quit working and I haven't figured out what's up with it as yet.

You can see our kids in my sig. Welcome!

Hello! We have friends on the Robinson method, & they say it's the best. There are other families with teens on this forum--ours included. And probably all of us are "evangelical" about homeschooling. 'Hope you like it here. "Prairie"

Hi There, WELCOME! We have 3 children: ds15, ds13, and dd9. This is our 9th "official" year of homeschooling (official meaning I'm not counting the preschool years when LOTS of families "homeschool", I'm just counting the school-age years), and we LOVE it!

Hope you stick around, this is a great site!

I like snakes! I used to catch them for a local summer camp that had a nature center. They're cool! :)
