Jeanne has started a unit on animals and plants. Will you help us with a graph? What kind of pet(s) do you have?
2 cats...one boy and one girl if you need to know that too. Used to have a fish, it died a couple months ago. My parents have a dog...a beagle...not that it's important, but Tanner often thinks she is his pet.
Oh, if you'd like to know about my daycare kids pets...this is what they have too to add to your graph. I'll use their first initial: C&C: one dog, one cat A: one cat P&A: two dogs S: two cats, 4 birds
Trish.... How is it having a guinea pig? My dd wants a hamster or guinea pig for her b'day this year. I'd like to her first hand what they are like if you have the time to share. Thanks!
We have a guinea pig. I did a bunch of research and they say for the younger kids...guinea pig is much better because they are bigger and able to "with stand" more. Hamsters are small and tiny and have been known to bite. We built the cage that our pig pig lives in. The site use to be...www.caveycages.com but...now that site has lot's of links...this one looks like the one with all the different cages http://www.guineapigcages.com/ I built open spots under ours to accomodate school stuff. and then recently just put a "skirt" around it to hide everything.
We have one turtle, a Red Ear snapper named Mecca... it is either a she or a he, according to my dd its a she, but thats because the folks who gave it to us said that, the research dh and ds 14 did turned up it as a he. but it doesnt matter cause hes the only one!
