I'm quickly posting to ask for prayer for a boy in dd10's class. He has been sick off and on for a while. He has spent most of last week in the local hospital. He has since been air-lifted to a major hospital and the situation is critical. I really don't know any details other than it is a complex case with more than one medical issue. I DO, however, know that God's Spirit intercedes on our behalf and God knows exactly what is wrong and is MORE THAN ABLE to take care of this little boy. Praise Your name, Lord!!!!
Thank you so much for your prayers. I rushed home to post knowing people would begin to pray for him. I'll post updates as I receive them. A couple teachers thought that it had something to do with a virus affecting his colon. Another teacher didn't elaborate but said there was a major problem that couldn't be taken care of until the minor problem was fixed....but they haven't been able to get a handle on the "minor" problem. One teacher said they expected a 10 day hospital stay, and "someone on the street" claimed to have heard from a family friend that he wasn't expected to last the week. He happens to not only be a classmate, but also a new neighbor we had tried to reach out to. We are not able to visit as the hospital is a couple hours away and he is being kept in a sterile room. Thanks again for your continued prayer!
Just a quick update. He is stable and his "numbers" are looking better, as is he. He has been battling bacteria that have overrun his colon. They have to get the bacteria under control and his overall health better before they can go in and look for any--IF any--permanent damage caused by it. His mom posted on their hospital blog today that he has been playing a bit with leggos and she is so encouraged! Thank you all for praying for him. At the rate he is improving, they think he might only need to be in the hospital another week or so and can then finish his recovery at home.
I am just seeing this. I am praying that his situation will continue to improve, and that they will find no permanent damage from this!
