I am under the impression that I am the only homeschooler with no pets. In fact, I often get the impression that many homeschoolers have many pets. Please tell me what pets you have, or if you have none, and such. Thanks!!!
We have one outdoor cat That's it, and I don't really want any more than that! But then, that's mainly because my kids are little, and I deal with enough poop with the 2 of them, thank you very much. lol
We have pets galore..... 1 African Grey, with a vocabulary of over 100 words and awesome sound effects 2 Cockatiels 4 cats, 1 is an indoor pet. The other 3 are outsiders. 1 dog, a Cockapoo, that is also an indoor pet. Also have an assortment of fish. LucyRIcardo
We just have one cat. We did have two, but we had to get rid of the female. She took to peeing everywhere wxcept the litter boxes. We tried retraining, different litters, took her to the vet, etc. When nothing worked, it was time for her to go. Dd had a Beta years ago, but it died. Dd just got an ant farm for Christmas & we'll be ordering the ants soon (just as soon as I put up the shelf the ant farm will live on). I'm hoping to have a frog by Summer. We also will be getting at least one dog, but not until we move. Our yard here is too small for the size dog we want. Dh & I are both animal people, though. His parents always had cats & dogs. My family always had cats & dogs. Plus, I had frogs, fish, and crickets as pets when I was a kid. We also would take in random injured animals & nurse them back to health (or try to). Honestly, if we had the money & room, we'd have many pets - dogs, cats, frogs, lizards, turtles, snakes, and more. There are only a few animals I wouldn't have as pets - ferrets, spiders, rats, & birds.
Two indoor cats...had a Shih Tzu, but she was very aggressive to my youngest, so our neighbors took her. They aren't enjoying her as much as they had hoped, so she may come back.
We have two cocker spaniels a blue beta fish who is 1 1/2 years old and soon we will have a guinea pig!
We have NONE, and while I'd like to keep it that way, my son is an animal person. At this point, he is pushing 6yrs old....has taken on responsibility in the house (unloading dishwasher, clearing his own dishes, etc.) and is to that point that we feel he does need a "companion", something for HIMSELF. We actually picked out a puppy last week, and he comes home on the 12th, when he's ready to leave his mommy. =)
We have none right now and not looking forward to any in the near future. We've had many and varied inside and outside dogs and cats through the years, and fish, and birds. The most recent was a chihuahua named Nipper that I had to have put down due to age and heart problems at age 14 1/2, about two years ago. I still miss her, and am nowhere near ready to replace her.
We have a white's tree frog, two guinea pigs, and a new puppy. Bandit is a pomeranian/chihuahua mix. The perfect size dog for our apartment.
We have one upstairs cat who walks on three paws due to an accident. It can't be fixed and I am afraid for her to stay outside now. We have three outside cats. Two outside dogs and then we have the herd. Sigh! The herd is our daughters mini pin, my three maltese, and Freddy's two chihauhaus that were rescue dogs from the shelter. They are all inside dogs but have a doggie door to get out into our fenced in yard. NOBODY opens our door without the herd alarm going off.
We have 3 indoor cats. Oh, and ants - might as well count them as pets since we can't seem to get rid of them!
We have 1 adorable kitty, 2 very fun to watch hens and an amusing hermie. We've lost quite a few pets over the past few years. We're going to get 2 more hens this year, maybe another hermie, and ds really wants a bunny.
We have one dog and a tarantula. Gunner is our almost 5 year old Germna shorthaired pointer mixed mutt dog and my husband named the tarantula Kitty. He found her in my mom's garage about two years ago.
hmmmmmmm well lets see what don't we have. we have two dogs. Koda and Gonzo a cat a rabbit a lizard hermet crabs birds. now thats enough wouldn't you think, no the girls want a hamster next. Hmmmmmm will think on that one.
When we move we are going to let each of the girls get a dog so that will give us three dogs total. Plus we will be getting at least 2 barn cats to keep mice away. My husband wants a pigmy goat for a pet and of course we will have chickens.
We have a 3 month old yellow lab puppy named Barkley, who joined our family on Christmas Eve. Friday, Mocha, our dog of 11 years left us Hammy the hamster has lived with us for a year. The salt water aquarium has 1 fish and tons of coral right now.
We have two cats, Ebony who only gets to live here because she's so loving and patient with the children (she hates us adults), Keeper who is the sweetest little girl and loves everyone who will pet her. We also have a dog, Sunday, who is a giant ball of energy she's 6 months old and 30lbs boy are we in trouble later... Oh, I almost forgot the cats have their pet fish LOL, seriously though I got the fish tank to entertain the cats back when I was working 12 hours shifts and no one was home all day.
We have two Cockers too, dad and daughter. Two indoor cats, a turtle, five outdoor cats and a few dust bunnies under the couch!
We have 3 Shih Tzus. Used to have boxers, which I absolutely loved, but while at a yardsale my hubby jokingly asked the lady there if she was selling the dog in her lap. Yep! She was our first, Suzy Q - 7 years old. From the same lady, who I now dog sit for, I got my valentine puppy, Little Bits. She will be 3 February 14th. Then this wonderful woman gave my son a puppy last Christmas, Kodiak Bear, sigh. Wasn't expecting that one, but he is awesome. We have had cockatiels in the past as well, and would welcome one again if I could afford it. I had a shy DD that wouldn't talk publically. She was given the task of teaching Pete to talk. That bird had a large vocabulary at the end of that year, and my shy DD babbled like a normal 12 year old. It gave her a sense of accomplishment and pride. Just ask one question to this day about that bird and be prepared to visit for at least a half hour, lol. (DD is now 26, Pete passed away after getting chilled when someone left the window open all night in the fall.) Anyone want a cat. Long white hair, crystal blue eyes, spayed, declawed on front paws and sweetly lovable. I have her through the death of a friend and DS is very allergic. Poor thing is living in my craft room right now. Would you happen to be near St. Louis Missouri, or passing through there soon?????
