this is the first time i've been on a homeschool forum. this site is GREAT but seems a bit confusing at first. it'll take me a bit to get familiar with the site and how to use it.
Welcome aboard! I'm still finding things on here I wasn't aware of. Lots of cool features and ones that get you where you want to go more quickly.
Welcome! You will get used to it. On the top of the page in the middle there is an icon that says, "New Posts", click on that and you can see the lastest posts since your last visit.
It may seem like an ordeal at first, but it'll be worth it. Here's the sequence of events: - You write a 10-page essay about yourself and your views on homeschooling - You submit your report to the moderator - She publishes it in the private area, and we all get to vote - To be accepted, 90% of us must agree with your report - After that, we arrange a time for your interview - If that goes well, there's a 2-hour online seminar to explain the rules - At that point, the words 'Approved Member' appear next to your name Not really. Welcome. The truth is, if they let me in, they'll let in anybody!
Steve was our Resident Troll when he first arrived, and so every now and then, he has to live up to the reputation! We REALLY DID put him through the wringer, because we simply weren't sure of him. (Now we KNOW he's trouble!!! ) Welcome!
Now, now Steve, have your forgotten what its like to be the new kid on the block? You forgot to mention once she is approved, she will get a years supply of bean dip with instructions on how/when to use it!
I love this place. It is my home away from home away from home. (My first home away from home is my church so this place comes in right after that.) Anyway, Welcome and I am so glad you joined us. This is a crazy bunch and everyone is so very helpful. Beth

Steve, likes to scare people but he is a big soft teddy bear with a big heart. Yes the board seems confusing at time to me, and I been here awhile. Just jump right in and have fun with us.
