I just received a phone call that my dad is in ICU. All I know is that he had an apparent heart attack. This came from an aunt here in Texas that received the call from my brother. I'm in Texas and he and my dad are in Colorado. I can't get ahold of anyone to let me know exactly what is going on. This is driving me nuts. I can't sit still I find myself pacing waiting for someone to call to tell me SOMETHING. Hubby said I can go but not until Monday so I can get new tires on my yukon.. Anyhow, Pray for peace for me and that news about Dad will come quickly. I know that this is not in my hands. So I'm praying for my Dad and leaving him to God.. He is a christian so if anything does happen to him he will be fine.. Thanks Angela
I hope everything gets better soon. I know its scary my dad had a heart attack a few years back and I could not go be with him.
update My sister and I went to check on him the following Monday. He was still in the hospital when we left but by the time we got there he was at home. He did in fact have a heart attack. Actually THREE of them before he got to the hospital. Of course he didn't know that at the time. He had been up in the mountains panning for gold with a friend of his. They had been digging dirt and taking it to the creek to pan when his chest started hurting. He said he thought he pulled something so he went and sat down for a minute in the truck. Then decided he needed to go home. So they loaded up and went home. As the day went on it got worse. Said it felt like the pain you have with a croopy cough but he had no cough. Then his arm started bothering him but he waited until the next morning to tell anyone about it. And THEY called the ambulance. The paramedics were shoving asprin into his mouth telling him to chew. He was in and out of conscienceness. And they actually had to shock him. They rushed him into surgery and gave him a stint and checked to see if he had a stroke as well (which he has in the past). But he hadn't. The doctor said he was amazed that he made it to the hospital after having three heartattacks. He put him on plavix to try to open up the two blocked arteries that he has. If the plavix don't work he will be having a double bi-pass in a few months. He feels fine other than being a little short of breath now. I'm so glad he's ok. Please keep praying for him. I lost my mom 5 years ago and I'm not ready to loose my dad. He is only 54 years old. To me that's young. My mom was only 49 when she passed. Angela
Wow. I am praying!!!! Thank you for the update. I'm praying he heals well and that the Plavix helps him. Praying for peace for you, as well.
