It's now 98 here at 5:40. It's taking me a while to get used to the evenings being warmer than the afternoons here.

We're in a cooling trend, here too!
Highs in the low 90's with lows in the high 70's...
We have about 99% humidity in the mornings and about 85 humidity in the evenings.
The heat index is over 100 degrees at around 5pm.

    Like I said, cooling trend...
meanwhile we live on ice and anything kool aide lemon-aid ish....

Just thought I would bring back some memories of last winter - SNOW!!!! It has been hot here too. Middle 90's, it's 80 degrees now and suppose to be 94 tomorrow.

We are enjoying our swimming pool this week. Only problem is the neighborhood feels this is the city pool.

Well it's 81 in southern Maine at the moment- our neck of Maine anyway. You go into town across the railroad tracks and it's 5 degrees cooler there LOL. Yesterday it was in the mid 90's.
NObody here as a/c and we're used to having central air so dd and I are dying at night. Upstairs was around 83 when I put her to bed. RIght now it's 79 up there and 77 down here.
Apparently this is really hot for here. The 81 today does not feel like 81. I will have to say after seeing the temps down in VA though, I'm glad I'm not there anymore LOL.

We aren't worrying about heat here, in fact we are wondering if summer will ever come, LOL. had to cover the tomatoes this weekend due to a frost warning.

It is 102 here. We were at 110 a few weeks ago and went through a cooling period. We were having cozy high 80s to low 90s but we are starting to heat up again.

Yea, Babe. That's only due to the Mansion fire.. tomorrow should be cooler, once they got all the hot spots extinguished...

    Kidding of course...

    Tomorrow's high is 100. :|
(But dh is splitting the camp day with me. He has to work tonight after all, so he'll come home and sleep and I'll come home at lunch to let him take HIS turn!)

I feel for you all. We are enjoying 50's and 60's. If it gets much over that I begin to melt. That is what comes from being raised in the cold though.

We got rain last night. Carl forgot to close a small window in the kitchen, and when I came down, it was SO NICE standing there! A really nice, cool breeze.

We got some relief last night! I bought fans for the windows upstairs and a couple for downstairs. Had them running all night so it was a lot cooler and more comfortable to sleep. Supposed to be 90 today and start cooling down tomorrow. I don't mind the heat and it's not nearly as humid here as it was in VA, but heat in the house - UGH!

We do not get a lot of humidity in the upper desert. The lower desert and the Inland Empire get a lot because they are pushed up againt the hills and mountain ranges where the moisture builds up. The last few years I have noticed more humidity but nothing like they get down the hill. I think this is a big reason why we do not get a lot of rain here either.
