I don't have resources to back this up but in my opinion, based on observation, sometimes you can link ADD to lactose intolerance.

I say this, because I've watched my step son, a milk addict, after he drinks milk, which he does as often as we allow him...with milk at $4 per galon I'll admit to allowing him milk in the mrning, and maybe at dinner if he asks. He gets it all the time in restaurants.

well, to the meat of the issue. This kid zones out, and gets almost woozy after he drinks milk. It's almost like watching an alcoholic drink he first couple of drinks. When he's done with his milk, ten minutes or so, and he's off in his own world. It's almost IMPOSSIBLE to get him to do anything. You can ask, and he'll here, but he takes three steps and gets totally distracted. It's wierd.

Now, I have an ADD son, and I'm not cracking on them. It's an honest to goodness prblem, and I'm aware of that. But this kid (he's 9 now) is really something. I've mentioned my concerns to my husband, but he dismisses it. He says he's loved milk all his life, and that he was a milk baby, and that he drinks it all the time, and doesn't seem to have any problems with it.

Well, that's my point, isn't it? He drinks it all the time, and he's extremely ADD. To hyperactivity, just the distracted type, like my 12yo ds.

I'm just not so sure that lactose intolerance or milk sensitivites have to always present themselves as stomach problems.

    That's just my opinion.
