How did you end up here?

It's all Jackie's fault.

 

Jackie (jacqlyn00) told me about it. I'm still pretty much just a lurker though It takes me a while to really feel comfortable posting....

 

Ditto what Becky said. I came when abcteach shut down. There are a few of us still here from there.

 

I also found it through the "AtoZ teacher" site. I got linked to that site when googling something curriculum-related. I checked the teacher forums periodically before realizing there was a link to this Homeschooler's site.

Like others have said, I tried to post on another HS forum but never felt like I fit in there. I looooooove Homeschool Spot!

 

I found this wonderful place through a search. I was on another board but just didn't get the vibe I had hoped to feel from it.

 

Krista did it, it's all her fault.

I like it because of the activity, and honesty. I also like it because it isn't all christian. I am one, but it is nice to get out of the box every once in a while.

I think I read about it in a book or on another website. I wish my memory was good enough to recall exactly what it was!

 

Add me to the group that found this spot while googling homeschool forums, and it was the only one that's actually quite active.

 

I must be getting old because I don't remember how I got here the first time. I have made some good friends and the people here have helped me so much. I love it here. Beth

I also was searching for homeschool websites and found HSspot. I read the forum for a few days before I joined, and I am so glad I did !

Hehe ya really... and uh, you know I'm s shy to post and all ( grin) :lol:

 

I too, found it after doing LOADS of google searches about homeschooling. This is by far the most active forum (homeschool or otherwise) that I have been on. It is very "homey," and I really appreciate that. I don't use a religious based curriculum, and like that I can hang out here and not feel guilty for that. Everyone is ALWAYS so helpful and I am definitely addicted. HSS is my new Home page!

I'm one of the ones that was at abcteach. But I have no clue how I ended up on abcteach in the first place. That was too long ago!

But I've been here from the get-go and LOVE it here! (though I'm so quiet and shy that nobody would really know that! :angel: )

 

I found this site doing a homeschool search - It was the about the time that Crystal was posting. I started praying for her and coming back to read updates. I finally joined and am so glad that I did. I just love all my friends here. I have had the opportunity to meet a few of you - JenniferR, Sloan (Beth), Jackie and Kathy. All wonderful people.

 

Meeting Ohio Gma is part of the reason I stuck around even after I had put Joyce back in ps. I have made some wonderful friends on here and am sooo thankful I found you ladies!

 

I was looking for a forum to "learn from" and "contribute to" and did a Google Search for "homeschool forums"

Homeschoolspot popped up.

I'm grateful!
