This morning the teacher called from my son Bill's classroom and said something was wrong with him and that I needed to come right down. He is mentally handicapped and goes to special classes in a regular high school. He is 18 and will graduate on June 10th. Bill was dizzy, sweaty and totally off balance when I got there. His speech was slurred and he had to be taken to the van in a wheel chair. There was a EMT on the campus for some reason and he was with Bill and helped me get him in the van and told me what to do on the way to the hospital if he got any worse. At this point Bill was talking to me and I could understand most of it. Crystal was with me and she reclined his seat and he sort of dozed on the way to the hospital. When we got there they did blood and urine tests, ran an EKG and a CT of his brain. After a few hours they talked to a neurologist and let us go home with an appointment to see the neurologist on Jan. 4th. Bill was fine and wanted to go home and eat. He has had minor spells like this before but never this bad. Each time before the doctor couldn't find a problem. He usually sleeps for a while after one of these episodes. So the doctor thinks it is a type of seizure. I am not too freaked right now because or oldest daughter has a seizure disorder because of frontal lobe disorder. Of course his isn't the same probably since he is adopted but at least I have seen it can be controlled in her case or I would be totally freaked. I know this is long but I just needed to talk about it. Please pray for my son as well as for Babyboy's hearing test tomorrow. Thank you all so much. Beth
