Ok.. I know some of you have bread machines. I just figured out how to use mine. It was given to me by my mom with no instructions.. and thanks to hillbillyhousewife.com I finally can use this thing!!! I don't have many recipes though... I know I can use it to just make dough.. like for pizza, or rolls, or pretzels, and I know I can use it to make a million kinds of bread.. sooooooo

What is your favorite bread machine recipes? (I have a 1 1/2 pound pan in mine).

I have a book called "electric bread" that I use for bread machine recipies that I bake in the machine.

Most of the time I just use regular bread recipies and shape them and place them in the oven after letting the machine do the kneeding etc. This is really the best of both worlds for me. I love shaping the dough and having the nice looking loave come out of the oven.

Sorry to say, I don't use mine at all. I simply don't like it, and I sure have tried! But I have been able to find really good bread machine books at the library and also on-line. Sorry I don't have anything right now to send you!

Sommer and KrisRV, I hope your families love the cinnamon rolls as much as mine does!!:D Be sure to read the reviews for tips and suggestions. And Sommer, I usually make this on Sunday mornings, so that's funny you said that! Mmm, now I'm craving some cinnamon rolls, so I might have to make these this Sunday!

Jackie, I've never owned one, but I used one at a friend's house and didn't like it either. I'd rather do it by hand or use my KitchenAid mixer with the dough hook. Personal preference, that's all.:)

I always try to cook a "sweet" breakfast on Sundays.. I don't cook breakfast any other days unless you count putting waffles or pancakes (that I made extra of on Sunday and froze) in the toaster or water on the stove for instant oatmeal as cooking..lol.

KrisRV, we'll be having the same breakfast come Sunday morning!:D Let me know how they turn out!!

Sommer, that is too funny!! I love making breakfast, but I'm very much a morning person and I love breakfast food to begin with! IHOP is one of my favorite restaurants. Hope you all enjoy the rolls and it's worth your effort!;) Trust me, they are worth every bit of effort!!!!! Mmmmm, my mouth is watering now!

Jackie, my dh is such a sweet and wonderful man! He bought that for me two Christmas' ago after I'd been eyeing one for a long time. (And we don't spend money like that for Christmas, so that was a real treat he had planned a year beforehand!) I would have never bought one for myself, but that's why he got it for me. He's a great man!:) If it weren't for him, I wouldn't have one either.

    Ok.. I must share!!!

I am soooo glad hubby had a car show to take the truck to today and isn't home! I need a report card or something that says in HUGE letters... "Does not follow directions"!!!! I made up the dough, flopped it out onto the table to rest and mixed up my cinnamon stuff.. dumb blonde moment straight ahead! I mixed the butter into the sugar and cinn!!! I didn't realize I did anything wrong till I had my dough all rolled out and I dumped this nice messy clump of yumminess on the dough and then thought "Well.. now how am I supposed to spread this??" I walk over to the drawer to get a spatula and read over the directions on the counter.. I about die! I ended up spreading my goop on the dough with my hands all the while laughing harder and harder! I felt like a mix of Amelia Bedilia and I Love Lucy! I'm soooo glad hubby and Garrett weren't here to pick on me! The toddlers thought I was nuts, but what else is new there!

OH my goodness! I think we have hot cooked breakfasts more than hot cooked dinners. I am a breakfast nut! and I love to cook, but I'm worn out by dinner time. That's why I use my crock pot soooo much. I can make breakfast and dinner at the same time.

I am not a morning person, either, even though we are up at 6:00 and school starts for us about 7:00. But our church has gone to a Saturday Evening service, so I'm hoping to have cook Hot Brunch on Sunday mornings, followed by a hike somewhere.
