Do you want something Christmas-y or just any hand/foot print craft? We made stepping stones for dh's grandparents one year. Each child put their handprints in and decorated with broken tiles. Small decorative stones would be easier than the tiles.

then there is also what we did in pre-k classes years ago, we did paint and made a frame and printed off a poem that went beside the prints... with todays programs you could make the prints, scan them and overlay the words with the prints...
look for "little hands" if you need a poem?

We usually do something with paper, so we can mail to a few family members that live out of state.
We did this one last year

They turned out really cute. We also did a footprint reindeer.

I'm thinking maybe a handprint Christmas tree. Keep the ideas coming!!! :)

The santa made me think of an ornament one of my kiddos did in school one year. Instead of the hand, they used just a finger print which was then made to look like a mouse. This part was done on construction paper and attached to a canning jar lid and then Christmas material was attached like a ruffle. The teacher even put the date on it which is nice because I don't remember things I thought I would which means we do the game of "who made this"!

We've done the handprint Christmas tree on muslin. Use pinking shears to cut the edges, fold down the top and zigzag stitch to create a pocket, insert dowel rod and tie ribbon to the ends to hang. THey are very cute!

We are making a handprint calendar for each set of grands. Based on the one here- http://www.littlegiraffes.com/handprintcalendar.html but altering it for Aussie seasons. Lol can't have snow flakes in January!

Thanks for your GREAT ideas...But we went off on our own!!!

I painted my lil' ones feet with out doing the toes. Turned it upside down (so the heel) was the top & the ball was the bottom. Viola... a tree. They decorated with markers, stickers & glitter glue.

They turned out cute...now I have to come up with a poem!!!

Go with a discriptive poem,
we made Hand print trees before, in fact each year that I taught outside the home we did that for our tree.. it was so much fun!

My girlfriend made the most awesome handprint t-shirts for her kids this year!

She made them FOR her girls, but you could definitely get adult sized T's and make them.

She used their handprints upside down for the tree folliage.

Their thumbprints to form a star in yellowy/goldy paint.

Then she fabric glued different buttons ont he shirts to make the ornaments.

THEY WERE SO AWESOME! :D

I don't know how to post the big pix...so my avatar is one we did!!!

Here's what I came up with for a poem...does it sound cute???

We hope you like the pines
Our feet helped with the design
We wanted to show you
Just how much we grew
We hope you have a Merry Christmas
And a Happy New Year, too!!
