I've been ok, I haven't cried yet, which I am surprised. But, I have been a little sad. Our house is so quiet. It's weird, only having Aiden, no Tanner, no daycare kids. I actually went grocery shopping today!!! During the DAYTIME! Something I have not done since I opened the childcare 3 years ago. This is odd. Anyways, here are some pics of his first day...

:( awww mama.. I remember that day all too well... I  all day long. My walk home from the bus stop was horrible... Garrett on the other hand was so excited he never said bye :( Then all his great dreams of school slowly got crushed. I hope your Tanner has a great day, and lots of stories for you this afternoon!

I remember when Emily went. It was hard when each of mine went but Emily is the baby. I told everyone not to talk to me because I would be a puddle in the courtyard. Tanner is such a cute kid. He looks so grown up and happy. You will have to let us know how he liked his first day. Beth

Jen, once you blink, Aiden will be in Middle School!!

Btw, don't knock the rolling!! Saundra kicks her feet in such a way that she scoots on her back. Her newest trick is getting up on her hands and knees and rocking back and forth. This was all fine and good until today when she got "stuck" like that and apparently couldn't figure out how to get back on her belly. She was in the playpen sobbing and I had to laugh because she looked like a kid on punishment.

As far as the shopping - two weeks ago I went in the store ALONE!!! I cannot remember the last time I had done that. I felt lost!!

Cute! I was thinking the same thing---he looks so much older than he did not long ago! Wow, they sure do grow fast!

Is he going to an all-day K?

It's funny, I just got e-mail pictures from my neice whose kids just started school. Her youngest is in K, and she had the same kind of pictures! :D

I hope you make it though the rest of the day okay! It certainly is an adjustment!

I just sent off my 16 yo and I got teary-eyed!!!

Well, first day went really well. He was very excited to tell us about his day. He brought home a couple projects that he did and was very proud of them. He was super wiped out though. Our school system is all day. Up until recently the poor guy had been use to taking naps every day. He just wanted to lay on the couch when he got home. He was out like a light by 7:30. I decided to make his favorite dinner for him in honor of his first day..."noodles" as he calls it, which is garlic alfredo sauce on wheat corkscrew noodles. Thursday we have a listening conference with his teacher, which is a "get to know your child" conference where the parent tells the teacher more about the child, their interests, etc. So far I am really liking the school we picked. My mom works in another school in our district and even she is impressed with the things they do. So far we are very pleased, I hope it continues down the same road.

Great pictures!!! I know my first days of no daycare kids I felt like I was playing hooky when I went out during the day. LOL. Enjoy your little one! Times spent during the day with a little baby go far too fast.
