Mission Mexico 2005 Needs

here is a list of needs for our upcomming trip to Mexico Only 3 months until we are getting ready to head south!!!
While finances are always needed I really don't like posting for $ but this trip is costly for Crystal and us. So any $ that comes will be divided equal between our needs and Crystals to be fair!!

Prayer
Shampoo
toothpaste
toothbrushes
deoderent
papertowels
baby wipes
sanitary napkins
brushes/combs
Yarn/crochet hooks(can be used)
Bottled water
:shock:
Gallon zip bags
notebooks(spiral)
small toys for kids(like you put into birthday bags)
hard candy and lollipops
laundry soap

remember anything we use here in the USA they use in Mexico. You will think of things I have left out so post if you have any questions and if you need my address to ship to email me.

We will be able to give you a reciept if needed!!

Anyway, if you could refresh my memory as to what kind of candies they were it would be a help (I have an idea but I'm not 100% sure on it).

We will be collecting here too - even if we are unable to go. I have printed out a list of the items to collect and sent them out to everyone we know. I also put a list on our mom's table at co-op.

If I'm not mistaken they were hard candies were they not? Anyway, I have loads of candy to send and am working on all kinds of other things too... This is fun :)

I took a chance and posted your list on another forum to see if I couldn't generate some help for you from there. These people have been looking in the past couple weeks to help out with missions as a part of their ministry to children.

Mission meeting has been set for Jan. 22 at 2:00 here at our house Crystal. I will need to know by then if you are still going. So I can let the rest of the team know. So far I have not said anything to anyone going. I did talk to the mission in Mexico and they will recruit some help to build if we can raise the $$4 for the house. So things are going to be covered if you can not come along and again I do understand and support what ever you and Rod decide.

Already talked to you by phone, but wanted to remind you that we will still be collecting as many items as we can and help with fundraisers.
We will also work on putting items in the zip lock bags.

I sent a message to Jimmie Lu, but I'll ask here if you guys would pray about the message. I contacted two larger companies about donating personal care items and am waiting for a response from them. Pray that the Lord will intervene and that these people will open their hearts and serve Christ by donating the much needed items.

I wish I could go to Mexico, but even helping gather things is awesome (and becoming a really fun and exciting challenge).

Do you want or need things like construction paper, etc to go with you to Mexico? Just checking - am packing up boxes to send out to you and wanted to know about that before I sent it.

Do you have any use for felt? (I don't have an over abundance of it - but enougth to clean out my craft bin).
