Son's Buddy

My son's buddy is leaving for Iraq Sunday. They love to go fishig together. My son is very upset to know that his buddy is leaving for a year :( . He doesn't understand why he has to go. I know he will miss his buddy very much :cry: . I have told my son that when he comes home he will take him fishing again.
Please pray for my son as he goes through this time without his buddy, and for his buddy as he goes off to war. Also for his family. This is one of the sweetest men in our church, everyone is going to miss him greatly. Thanks

My prayers are with both. I have a nephew leaving in February with a pregrant wife. This will be their first child.

Trish, During Desert Storm my good friend's husband had to go to war. She and I both were pregnant with our first children. It was a very tough time for her! He made tapes and a couple of videos and wrote notes to the baby, just in case he didn't make it back, so she (the baby) would have something from her father. Thankfully he made it home fine, about 2 weeks before the baby was born! But they still have those things he sent as memories of that time in their lives. Maybe your nephew could do something like that also. We will pray for he and his wife too!
