I posted one on another thread, but I'll put it here, too. It's SO EASY!!! No, not very nutritious, but makes the kiddos happy on a hot day! They really do taste as good as anything you get at a restaurant!

Slushies

Mix the following in the blender until all ice chunks are gone.

4 cups ice (crushed works best!)
3/4 cup sugar
1 pkg. Kool Aid
2 cups water

You can add blueberries to it or just use blueberries and not strawberries. Using any type yogurt you can pretty much make it any kid you want. Just ideas to go by.

(BTW my niece is allergic to strawberries)

I know. I was just teasing you! I think it'd be very good with a combo of strawberries and blueberries. And guess what!!! I'm actually going to have my OWN raspberries and blackberries this year!!! My fil had raspberry bushes, which he decided to get rid of. I transplanted two or three to my yard, and this is the fist year there's berries on them. Then my dad was gvien some SEEDLESS blackberry plants. And they have berries this year!

I know;)

I just started growing a raspberry bush. My strawberries are being eaten by predators!

(Who made up the spelling of raspberry anyhow! It should be spelled razbeare)

Jackie, I bet you could use milk too and it would add some more nutrients.

That occured to me, Amy. I might try that the next time. My kids drink a whole lot less milk in the summer, so that may be a good way to get it in them!
