My sister had a pregnant co-worker many years ago who would use a small apple corer to take out the middle of a large pickle, fill it with grape kool-aid, and then put the "plug" back in and eat it.

I still think it sounds gross!

Earlier, I had posted about some Kool-Aid pickles that are supposed to be popular in the South. The radio station I listen to was going to make them. Well, they made three flavors, Strawberry, Tropical Berry and Lemon-Lime and tasted them today. Sorry, but the three people who tasted them didn't care for them. Two of the people said "on air" that they wanted to spit them out.

If you have made these, please post your review.

We have them here all the time in the summer...the kids love em. It's hard for them to be patient though when we have to make more they have to wait a few weeks for the flavor to get just right.

This is a good idea! My kids like to drink it straight from the jar, and will drink the whole thing if I don't see them quickly enough. (Sometimes makes them sick! UGH!)

Freezing it into servings would limit how much they get at once. LOL

I cut onions into big chunks and put into the pickle juice. It gives the onions a great taste. I usually let them sit in the pickle bath for at least a week before eating them.
