Organic costs more and they taste the same, why should I care if it's been genetically engineered against plant viruses?

I personally try to buy organic when I can. Unfortunately when it comes to produce organics are slim around here- and what they do have is pretty sad unless you shop at the ritzy grocery stores which are 40 minutes away.
I think organics taste different- meat and produce wise. Usually tastes better and has more flavor.
Thanks, Nellie, for posting this. Years ago already, human genes were being transferred into cows to make cow milk less likely to cause allergic reactions in infants. It sounds a bit like cannibalism to me!

I steer clear of genetically engineered foods as much as I possibly can. We buy foods from a major national/organic grocery.

I agree! lol. However, think of it this way...we are the only species who drinks the milk of another species. lol. Not that I want to consume human milk or anything. Just a thought!
I personally buy organic whenever I can. I do not want my children raised on chemicals I know nothing about.

Ava Rose, I have been buying rice milk and it's really good. You could always try that. I use it for anything that calls for milk.

Handsome loves rice milk!!!!!!!!!
He is very lactose intolerant and the good thing about rice milk is we can also make it if we had to, unlike milk.
It is scary when you think that the majority of what is purchased in a regular market contains chemicals and other unnatural ingredience. So much is processed now. I understand why it is done, but it seems to have gone to the extreme.

If we get rid of processed foods the ramen industry would die over night, along with millions of teenagers.

I don't think Ramen noodles per se are bad for anyone...
It is the little packet of SALT (Flavoring) that comes with them! hahaha!

I don't use the seasoning packets ever anyway. I add my own seasoning, because those packets have MSG in them!

Yeah, I never used the seasoning packs either, I haven't had those in forever though.
Yep, rice milk is the way to go. I used soy for a long time, then discovered rice milk and switched.

That's funny. We were using rice milk, and switched from that to the soy milk! :)

Really, that's funny. Why did you switch to soy? Do you have a preference? Do you use if for everything?

My 13yo says the soy is less watery. We had read about benefits of soy, so decided to switch. It worked out well, the kids like it better. Yes, we use it for everything.

Yes, I did notice that rice milk is a bit watery. Maybe I will go back and forth. Variety is always good.
