If you take one Dixie Cup (or reuseable cup/small bucket) of Baking Soda and one of Apple Cider Vinegar in the shower with you...you will come out refreshed and your shower clean! :)
Just mix 1/2 of the Baking Soda in with your regular shampoo and wash your hair as normal. Rinse with the Apple Cider Vinegar mixed with water.
Using your normal soap (on a rag or hand) use the other 1/2 Baking Soda as a scrub for your face and then on to the rest of your body.
Using a rag wash down the tub/shower.:)

very interesting. I love finding things like this.
I use white vinegar and lavender soap mixed with hot water to clean all my hardwood floors.

I've done that to clean out my husbands thermos.
I like tips like this, too. You can do a lot with vinegar and soda. Once, the water deposits had become scales around our bathroom faucet, and nothing would touch them until I poured vinegar over them and let it set overnight. The next morning I was able to wipe them off. Ever since then, I use it regularly.

Sink & tub drain cleaner:
Pour about 1/2 cup to 1 cup baking soda straight down a drain.
Pour 1 to 2 cups distilled white vinegar down the drain.
Leave sit for about 15 minutes.
Flush with HOT HOT HOT water (boil if you have to).
We had a slow sink drain for a long long time, I did this two days in a row and our drain is no longer slow. :D
Talked to an exterminator, he said this is good to keep the debris from building up in the pipes - which encourages bugs b/c it gives them food. He actually said to keep bugs out of your sink pipes you should do this monthly. :D

Not only is it great as a facial scrub, body soak, hair wash and for cleaning all surfaces.
You can use it on your carpets, sprinkle, then vacume up!

Head Lice
Saturate head and scalp with Olive Oil, put a shower cap on and wrap in towel for two hours, use a nit comb. You can add Tea Tree Oil or lavender oils. Lice hate oils.
Mayonnaise can also be used this way.

I guess that is why my friend said that black people do not get lice. Her dd was in school during a huge lice outbreak and never got it...she is biracial. I had a little girl over my house who I later found out had lice. I was babysitting her. My kids never got it. Which is odd since that little girl and my dd were playing slumber party and shared a pillow while watching a movie. My dd's hair seems more dry than oily though. Who knows.
