Whenever I go to the store the clothes look like they are for teenagers! I have never purchased clothes from a catalog because when they would get here I don't think they would fit. Because when I don't try clothes on before I leave the store they don't fit either.

So, where do you shop?

It is so hard to find things that look the right age and fit too. Good luck. I have that trouble too. I just don't know what to tell you.

We get a lot of clothes at my mom's store, but not often she has my size.--- its a hit and miss at her store for what she gets.

I must say that K-Mart suits me. I don't wear dresses, so basic shorts and jeans are fine, and they had some cute shirts this spring.----- I'm set for long sleved shirts!

I just got a few things at Kmart- never would have thought I'd wear Kmart clothes! I got some cute, long shorts and a couple of t's and tank tops. I think the latest trends are longer shorts and shirts- thank goodness! I have a long torso anyway and I'd have to get a large to cover my tummy, but I'd be swimming in it width-wise! I'm also a thrift store junkie- I find a lot of name brand stuff at Goodwill. I'll occasionally buy stuff on sale at department stores- I don't care about name brands, but they really are better made, fit better and last longer. I live far from any department stores, and I hate to shop, so that doesn't happen often!

I go yard saling and thrift shop shopping to get good named brand clothing. One thing about this is that if the used clothes still look new I know I can get good use of out them. If I can't find what I am looking for used I generally buy from JcPenney. My boys like Old Navy and they have some pretty good sales so I will let them get clothes from there also. The old navy here does't mark down as much as it did where I use to live. I use to get clothing for .97 and 1.97 on clearence all the time.

We don't have a Kmart any more but Walmart is my store. I like CATO's too but mostly just if it is a big sale. Crystal likes to go to Goodys. Our consignment shop sometimes has good stuff but not in my size often. I do well there for the girls especially Emily.

I never buy clothes online and I always have to try them on before I buy. I get my jeans at Foley's which is now Maceys. I LOVE Target and can sometimes find things at Walmart. Some of my fav stores are specialty shops in the mall like Wet Seal and some other store I can pronounce but can't spell! They are cheap. I also like thrift shops.

I don't know if you have a Kohl's near you, but they have great sales and great clothes!! I also go to yardsales (that's where you can get the best deals).

Have you tried Marshall's? They have good sales, too.

I do thrift stores, Goodwill. I wear alot of denim jumpers, I have bought them from Blairs - yes, I am showing my age and the tops from Walmart or K-Mart. For vacation, I bought some capri's from Goodwill. They were like new and my tops that I wear with my jumpers went with the capris.

For Elijah, I check Goodwill, but boys wear out their clothes, it's hard finding good clothes for boys. I usually find his at Walmart.

This year for Gianna, I had some coupons for Toys R Us - $25 off $100 and then another 10% off. I also find like new stuff for her at Goodwill and thrift shops too. I love those 2nd hand stores.

I just talked to my mom. She is at her store. She is selling bathingsuits for a rather good price, however she noticed when one lady had just gotten done trying one on there was a blood stain on the bottoms:shock: , my mom told her "looks like you just bought that one ma'am"

I loved looking at Goodwill for girl clothes, but you're right, boys are so rough on their clothes its hard to find them second hand, even when we do our clothing exchange the "boys" table is not as abundant as the girls table.

I usually get my stuff at Target. Jack's stuff is pretty much Target and Children's Place. I love their stuff because it is simple and well-made a cheap!

I usually go to Walmart. And when I find something I like, i buy it in 3 or 4 different colors. I have the same top in 4 colors and the same pants in 4 colors. I make sure they all match each other :D LOL. I'm the LAST person on earth to give fashion advice. I might as well be a guy, and sew the outfits together since I always dress the same. my poor husband!

I order online from the nicer places, but on their clearance page. Hanna Anderson, Kohl's, Boscov's, and places like that. I also shop their clearance racks in the stores. I have never paid full price in those places. For me, I wear Walmart junk. There is zero nice stuff in my size, anyway.

I haven't had to buy a lot for my girls. They have two older cousins whose parents (my brother) spoils them with tons of crap so when they are done it comes to my girls - some stuff is from Limited Too and Abercrombe (sp?) and still has the freakin' tags on it!!! Hello? How are you goign to pay obscene prices and then not bother to wear the stuff!

Usually for the girls stuff we go to a resale shop, Walmart or Target but Samantha's fav store is Justice. I just can't afford to shop there much - usually when there is a sale.

That is exactly what I do! I have about a million pairs of crop pants in 2 styles and a ton of t-shirts. My fashion sense went out the window when I quit work!

If I buy, it's usually a combo of all 3. I shop at Hot Topic, get stuff outta catalogs, and the occasional shirt I get online. Most stuff comes from relatives though, either that or hand me downs.

My clothes all have to have one thing in common. Comfort! I hate being in something that scratches or doesn't feel right. I am not into fashion at all. I am more likely to look at something because of the color than the style. Red is my color!

SO GLAD I'M not alone!!!

I had my nephew's christening today - I went to Walmart first thing b/c I had NOTHING nice to wear. I think I did okay, got lots of compliments. I think Hubby thought I did okay too (usually, he's right outside the dressing room to tell me if it's okay or not - this time I was solo!).

Oh well... :D

OH! I meant to say - i haven't bought kids clothes in SO SO LONG! We had lots of folks giving us hand me downs so we did really well. I spent aobut $100 in the last two years at thrift stores to fill in - for 3 kids.

NOW...we joined our local freecycle group ( www.freecycle.org ) and we've gotten a TON of free clothes. I haven't bought any kids clothes in over a year - someone's always posting kids stuff. :D

I buy a lot for dd at Target. It's about the only place I found summer things that were modest and age appropriate. They had some really cute blousy cotton tops this year, along with cute skirts that were long enough.
It's really hard for me to find age appropriate things for her. She's only 6 and wears an 8 and a 10 bathing suite because she's so long in the torso. I finally found a bathing suit in a 10 that the legs weren't cut too big.
I also shop consignment for her and I'll buy at Gap if they are having a sale and I see something I like.
For myself I order from Old Navy.
