I use 4X6 lined index cards as recipe cards. Not pretty, but functional and cheap! LOL :D

I get them from any craft store. You may want to check Walgreens or dollar stores too...I find them there a lot!

:) I understand....I'm married to a cheap Scot LOL!!!! I did get myself a nice Longaberger recipe box when we first got married and it came with such pretty recipe cards. If someone asks for a recipe, i always write it out neat on one of those! LOL :D Okay for someone else to have pretty, but i feel selfish keeping them for myself.

Of course, I'm almost out of pretty ones...think I'll hit the dollar store today and see what they have! :D

I would also like to find the little plastic covers that go with them. I hope they have those too.

Hey...if you can't find the covers....or they are too expensive...consider getting a cheapie photo album and cutting out the sleeves to use.

I found some really nice ones in the dollar store. The problem with them was they are bigger than the box I made for a recipe box so I need to cut them down!

you could get index cards and put some apropriate stickers on them

After my search high and low and then almost went to ebay...though shipping prices are outrageous for them.
