A young man from our youth ministry was hit in the head last week with a hockey puck. At the time, he sustained a mild concussion and doctor's felt hat he would be fine.

I received a phone call earlier this evening. Scott has been transferred to a major trauma center several hours away to be treated for a haemorrhage in his brain. I suspect he will undergo surgery...

Please bathe Scott and his family in prayer. The family have several hours to travel daily to be with him. Pray also for the doctor's and other health care professionals who will work with him.

Our God is a God who heals. Please pray for God's will to be done in this. If healing is possible, please pray for that.

As I find out more, i will update you all. Thank you in advance for praying for Scott and his family.

UPDATE

Scott was doing well yesterday - the doctor's had decided because he still had good motor skill function to let the body re-absorb the Cerebral Spinal Fluid (CSF) and blood instead of doing surgery. The plan was to admit him for observation for a couple days before sending him home with limited activities.

Scott isn't doing so well today. His face has swollen considerably, his lips are numb and one of his arms is limp. It looks like they may have to do a shunt to relieve the pressure but only God knows that answer.

Thank you for your continued prayer - I know his family appreciates it.

Scott came home yesterday! The facial swelling, numb lips and limp limb were an allergic reaction the morphine he was given. So now he is home with family with no vigorous activity allowed for 2-3 months! Praise the Lord!
