I had the HSLDA news email yesterday that said she was home. It said she turned 16 and left the foster home. In Germany evidently foster kids can do that. But it said they didn't know yet if the authorities would leave her alone. I sure hope this is going to be over for that family. Beth

That poor family! We are so blessed in this country! Thank you both for your updates on the situation. Let's pray that they aren't victimized again with their other kids.

There's a further update that says they're leaving her alone----for now. So, she's staying home! I hope they give it up! I can't believe they said she was "too devoted and obedient to her father"! That's ridiculous!

That is great news. I certainly hope she will be able to stay home and that family will be left alone. It is horrible that this kind of thing is going on there! Youd would think that they would change their laws there.

This gave me chills.
What a strong group of people to stand for what they believe. That takes true courage.
We live in a culture that demoralizes family unity and the rights of parents. Do these people ever look at the world around them? There are so many parents who do not give a hoot about their families. They do not care that their children are being raised by the streets and suffer from no identity except what the world says they should be. When a homeschool family takes up their cross and raises their family with a solid foundation for life, it is sadly looked down upon as though it was or is a "mental problem".
That is disgusting!
I am so thankful for these people who endure in the midst of adversity.

I wonder why they think that laws enacted during the reign of Hitler about social control (because that is what compulsory school is) are a good thing, one to be kept and not changed?
I am glad that girl is home.....but I find the bigger picture very scary.
